I'd like my jewellery to be more than just a decoration. I've always been inspired by toys, puzzles but also mechanical devices and moving joints. Using these themes in my work, they add a new dimension to my pieces and give it a more dynamic character.

In the summer of 2004 I founded Crystal Maze Jewelry Design. Starting off with just four pendants, my collection currently consists of over 40 pieces in which funny, playful and moving elements are present.

The pictures you're seeing are part of three different series.
The first one, the maze, was originally designed while I was working in Dublin, Ireland. Soon after, my colleagues named me Crystal Maze, (Christel, my first name, was pronounced as Crystal).
The second one is one of my most recent pieces: a silver necklace with gold balls.
The third photo pictures three silver rings with a gold ornament on each side.
Creating these pieces gave me great joy. I hope you like them.
